Can oxygen help with my heart condition?

Oxygen therapy is a way to get more oxygen into your lungs and bloodstream. It can sometimes be used for patients who have diseases and conditions that make it hard to breathe, such as chronic heart failure. Oxygen therapy can make it easier to breathe and it can reduce the heart’s workload. However as individual circumstances vary your doctor is the best person to decide if medical oxygen is appropriate for you.

Some people need extra oxygen all the time. Others need it from time to time throughout the day or overnight. Your doctor will prescribe how much oxygen you need, based on blood tests. They will tell you how much oxygen to use per minute (the flow rate) and how often to use it.

Before Oxygen Solutions are able to provide you with medical oxygen a valid prescription is required.
