Can oxygen help with my cancer?

There are no clinical studies or scientific evidence that support claims that oxygen therapy or the putting of oxygen-releasing chemicals into a person’s body is effective in treating cancer.  Some types of ‘oxygen treatments’ may even be dangerous; there have been reports of serious illness and death from hydrogen peroxide. Ozone is a strong oxidant that can damage cells, and has also caused deaths. (ref)

Medical grade oxygen delivered to the lungs may be suitable for ongoing maintenance of patients who have suffered from lung cancer, especially if lung capacity has been reduced due to the disease. However this will not help to fight the lung cancer, only to improve patient quality of life after cancer treatment. We recommend speaking with a medical professional for further information.
