What does a ‘Battery HOT Shut Down’ message mean?
This message is displayed on Inogen oxygen concentrators. The battery has exceeded temperature limit while the concentrator is running on battery power. The concentrator has stopped producing oxygen. If possible, move the concentrator to a cooler location, then turn the power off and back on. Ensure that the air intake and outlet vents have clear access and the particle filter is clean. If the condition persists, switch to a backup source of oxygen and schedule the concentrator for a service.
This is a high-priority alert message and is accompanied by a five beep pattern repeated every 10 seconds, and a flashing red light.
